Guestrax social login privacy
This page explains what the Guestrax Auth Broker receives when a guest chooses to sign in with a social provider.
Last updated: 30 July 2026
What this service does
The Guestrax Auth Broker helps guests sign in to a customer WiFi portal using providers such as Facebook, Google or Microsoft. It verifies the provider login and sends a signed login result back to the relevant Guestrax customer portal.
Information we may receive
Depending on the provider and the guest account settings, we may receive:
- the guest's provider user ID,
- name, first name and last name,
- email address, where the provider supplies one,
- profile picture URL, where supplied,
- the provider used, such as Facebook, Google or Microsoft,
- technical login metadata needed to complete and audit the sign-in.
How the information is used
The broker uses this information to complete the guest sign-in flow and return the result to the Guestrax customer portal that started the login. The customer portal may then record the guest details according to that venue's own guest WiFi and marketing consent settings.
What we do not do
- We do not post to a guest's social account.
- We do not request access to friends, posts, pages or advertising accounts.
- We do not sell social login profile data.
Data sharing
Login results are shared only with the allowed Guestrax customer domain that initiated the login. Each customer domain must be configured as an allowed tenant before the broker will redirect data back to it.
Retention
The broker keeps operational logs for troubleshooting and security auditing. Guest capture records are primarily held in the relevant Guestrax customer portal, not in this broker admin interface.
Deleting your data
If you want social login data associated with you to be removed, follow the instructions on the data deletion page.
Contact
For privacy or deletion requests, contact the Guestrax team or the venue that provided the guest WiFi portal. Please include the email address used during sign-in and the venue or portal name if known.
